SCCS Third Grade – week of Feb. 22-26, 2010

BIBLE:  memory verses are: James 1:1

MATH:  Please continue to review basic facts in subtraction, addition, and multiplication (especially the  6, 7, and 8  times tables.)                                                                     

We will be working on measurement equations, story problems, and division. We will begin doing problems with parentheses. Please help your child practice the 3 -8 times tables at  home.  Some of the students are trying to finger-count these.  It is so much easier if they just memorize the facts.

ENGLISH:  We will review Ch. 10 - Book Reports.  The TEST will be on Wednesday, Feb. 24.
