Mrs. Peterson is a graduate of Northwestern College in Orange City, IA and this is her fifth year at SCCS.  If students or parents have questions for her, she is available before or after school Monday, Wednesday, and Friday or can be e-mailed at sccspetersonc@hotmail.com

JUNIOR/SENIOR REMINDERS:

If you signed up for the upcoming ACT test, make sure get enough study time.  Come to room 101 for paper study materials, or check out the ACT website for more practice tests.

*You may begin filling out your FAFSA as soon as January 1.  Come to room 101 for information, or check out the FAFSA website: www.fafsaonline.com   (taxes for 2009 must be completed before you can completely finish the FAFSA)

Remember to apply to multiple schools in order to be able to compare financial aid offers and programs.  Applying early can sometimes waive application fees!

7-10 REMINDERS:

*If you are beginning to think about colleges/careers and need a guide, take a look at www.ihaveaplaniowa.org and set up an account.  This is a safe and free way to let you explore some careers that fit your skills and interests and look at colleges that offer related programs.  It is full of fun surveys and important information about future career possibilities.  *don't forget to write down your user name and password if you set up an account so you can go back and look for more information at a later date.
